NANOKAT // WORKBENCH

Useful things, indexed like we mean it

The Workbench.

A curated index for tools creators and builders actually use: developer utilities, VSTs, open models, creative software, maker resources, and the weird little things that save an afternoon. The goal is context, not affiliate sludge.

Developer tools

Editors, terminals, source control, containers, databases, deployment, observability, and small utilities worth keeping around.

Audio + VSTs

Instruments, effects, plugin hosts, DAWs, utilities, and Linux-friendly audio tools without pretending every plugin ecosystem behaves the same.

AI + local models

Open-model runtimes, inference servers, downloadable models, multimodal tools, and practical notes about what hardware they actually want.

Creative software

Graphics, 3D, video, typography, asset tools, and creator utilities that fit into a real workflow rather than a software-logo collage.

Maker + hardware

CAD, firmware, electronics, fabrication, CNC, repair, and shop resources for the part of NanoKat that occasionally leaves the screen.

Catalog contract

Every entry should earn its spot.

The catalog will separate observed facts from NanoKat notes. Entries can carry platform and license information, local/cloud behavior, formats, price class, setup friction, accessibility notes, and creator-facing use cases. For audio tools, plugin format and Linux behavior get first-class fields instead of being buried in prose.
